| DEPARTMENTAL HIGHLIGHTS | Yearly Publication of Departmental Journal “Bangla Bibhagiyo Patrika” since 2005.
Departmental Wall Magazine “ANWESHA” published regularly. 21st February : Celebration of International Mother Tounge Day as “Bangla Bhasha Dibas” with Eminent Speakers and Inter College Competitions in every year. “22 se Shrabon” : Rabindra Smarananusthan with Eminent Speaker in every year. Active Learning Day held with departmental students and regular Special Lecture series arranged every year. Department has organized one day National Level Seminar on ” Bangla Bhashaye Bigyan Charcha ” in collaboration with Department of Chemistry Shri Shikshayatan College and Departments of Bengali and Chemistry, Jogesh Chandra Chaudhuri College; sponsored by the Higher Education, Science & Technology and Biotechnology ( DHESTBT ), Govt. of West Bengal in 2018. Well stocked Central and Seminar Library with some rare books. Yearly Departmental Alumni Meeting since 2018. Institutional Visit with Departmental Students in every academic year. |

| ALUMNI | After the completion of graduation the majority of our departmental students pursue Master Degree in Bengali. Some of them also in Comparative Indian language and Literature, Linguistics, Journalism and Mass Communication After completion of Master Degree some of them pursue B.Ed course or M.Phil. Some of them are placed in educational institutions and other sectors such as media and entertainment. |
