Students’ Council-2
The Student’s Council organizes talent shows, cultural programmes, Freshers’ Welcome, Final Year Farewell and other programmes of common interest. The Students’ Council is also involved in collection of funds for voluntary organizations in times of need.

- Social Welfare Committee
These are organized and managed by students. Each student must be a member of at least one society.Students are encouraged to paticipate in environment protection activities under the guidance of teachers.
The college has one NSS unit. National Service Scheme (NSS) is a students’ empowerment programme through campus community interaction. The main purpose of NSS is to educate the students about social realties and to inculcate in them the spirit of social service and concern for the well-being of the community. Students are expected to voluntarily participate in the NSS programme.
The nonprofit National Entrepreneurship Network was established in 2003 .NEN provides resources to academic institutions to build and manage Entrepreneurship Education infrastructure and programs for students. Shri Shikshayatan College has a student lead E Cell/Club.

The College brings out an Annual Magazine every year on its Annual Function Day. Students are encouraged to contribute articles for publication in the Magazine.
The Women’s Forum, as a body in Shri Shikshayatan College was initiated in the academic session 2008-2009 keeping in mind this incessant mission of addressing women’s issues. Women’s Forum publishes an annual Journal called ‘Women Talk’.
The Foundation Day of the college is celebrated on the 8th of July every year. The College appreciates the outstanding contribution of distinguished alumnae in various fields of the society, by honouring them with “Achiever’s Award” every year at the Foundation Day Programme of the college.

Annual Function is usually held on a weekend in winter. Along with the Prize Distribution Ceremony for the University Results, trilingual cultural programmes in English, Hindi and Bengali are also put up by the students under the guidance of the teachers.
Republic Day and Independence Day are celebrated in the college campus in which the students take part in cultural programmes.
Annual Sports is held on a weekend in the month of December at the Hastings Ground in Alipore. The students of all streams including B.Ed. compete with each other in various sporting events.
The Annual Art and Cuisine Fair is held in the college building on the last working day prior to the Puja vacation. In this fair, food, game and handicraft stalls are put up by the students and staff of the college. The major part of the profit from the sales is contributed by the stall owners for social welfare activities.
Every year Blood Donation Camp is conducted in the college. Orientation programme before the blood donation camp is arranged to create awareness & stress on the importance of blood donation. Blood donation is conducted under medical supervision. Our college gets award for blood donation by the students.
Shri Shikshayatan College collaborates with Lake Club to offer rowing facilities to its students. Orientation lecture on rowing was given to students to inspire them to take up rowing as a sport.
Students are encouraged to take up chess under the guidance of the chess instructor.
