BELARANI DE MEMORIAL LECTURE
The Belarani De Memorial Lecture occupies a pride of place in the Department of Political Science, Shri Shikshayatan College. Originally conceived of as a day to pay homage to the memory of Smt. Belarani De, a founder member of the Department, this day experiences luminaries in various fields of social sciences and professional services illuminating the students as well as the faculty members with their insights on pertinent issues. This helps in creating a bridge between tradition and modernity which eventually helps student to imbibe tradition of the Department and in turn contribute meaningfully towards the growth of the same.
