Laboratories
The College houses fully equipped and modern labs for various subjects to complement class room teaching, enhance
concept building and provide an environment of research and innovation.
» Science Labs (Botany, Chemistry, Physics, Zoology) - The labs are equipped with adequate facilities and equipments
for conducting experiments.
» DRY LAB - The chemistry dry lab situated in Room No. - 410 is used for experiments that use analytical machines.
The machines in this lab are Conduct Meter, pH meter, Potentiometer, and Spectrophotometer. It also houses some
other instruments of general use e.g. Oven, Magnetic Stirrer etc.
» Geography Lab - Digitized content like GIS software etc are available in the computers installed in the department.
» Media Lab - The media lab is equipped with 43 I-Mac machines of latest configuration. The students are given
training by experts on these machines. SSC is one of the first colleges to have a MAC machine equipped media lab.
» JMC LAB - A state-of-the-art laboratory with 3 Apple Mac- Pro (6 CORE XEON processor, 16GB RAM 256 GB FLASH)
computers, Audio mixer (12 channel Alto) etc for audiovisual editing is available.
» Computer Labs - There are two computer labs equipped with HP Workstations (Z420 & Z400) of latest make.
Projectors and smart boards installed in the lab to enable effective teaching and demonstration. Four classrooms
with an average seating capacity of 40 are equipped with matching number of HP Firefly G15 laptops for providing
hands on training in various software.
